Given the importance and that Villavicencio and the department of Meta represent for the economic development of the country, officials of the Ministry of trade, industry, and tourism, the third version of this new strategy will open tomorrow in this capital.

This new tool, designed by the said Ministry, seeks to create more jobs and prosperity in all regions of the country.
As with the two previous versions, the national government will emphasize the importance of boosting the productive transformation of the region, which is regarded as the breadbasket of Colombia for its emphasis on agribusiness, according to the Minister Sergio Diaz-Granados.
Given the importance of the FTAs for this region, there will be two panels at tomorrow's event.
One of them will focus on the opportunities for exporters in international markets. In this space, special emphasis will be paid on promotion and trade facilitation.
Also, representatives of the productive sector can get information on the tools available to the Government to attract greater investment flows such as free zones.
The second panel is aimed at entrepreneurs who tot to know firsthand, the instrument leading by the Ministry to promote the domestic market through Buy Colombian program.
There are also plans to have managers from the Productive Transformation Program (PTP) at the premises of the Chamber of Commerce of Villavicencio, to disclose business plans being carried out to ensure that sectors such as beef, the palm oil, the horticultural and nature tourism, among others, get to know the opportunities they have to diversify their exports.
On the strengths that the region, the Minister recalled that the Meta is the first producer of upland rice, palm oil, soybeans and beef, and the second in fish production. It is also the third largest producer of modified corn.
The Minister also referred to the opportunities that this region (eastern Colombia) to optimize the benefit from nature, which is now part of the PTP.
The growth of tourism indicators in the department exceeds those of Colombia in areas such as foreign travelers, domestic air passengers and hotel occupancy, he said.
Friday's activities will focus on financial issues.
Financing resources at disposal of MSMEs to improve the competitiveness of their companies will be announced first.
Furthermore, Ministry officials will explain how different sectors can also access non refundable resources for undertaking.
That same day, financial rounds will be held in Granada and Cumaral.
Diaz-Granados Minister recalled that Colombia prospers is aimed at business people and entrepreneurs who want to take advantage of opportunities offered by the markets.
Entrepreneurs should know that regions have a team ready to support them, he said, nothing that the purpose of government is to reach as many businessmen and entrepreneurs from each of the 32 departments that choose to improve their capabilities to compete in foreign markets.
