He also re-assured fans that his concert in Spain, set for this summer, would still take place.
He did call off other concerts in Latin America, such as his concerts in Argentina and Mexico, and in the United States, according to Fernan Martinez, Juanes' 10-year manager.
Juanes, whose real name is Juan Esteban Ariztizabal, broke off his "professional relationship" with Fernan Martinez.
Juanes confirmed the rift with his manager over Twitter while also denying rumors in Colombia that the pop star and singer of "La camisa negra" and "A Dios le pido" was taking a break in order to run for political office.
Colombian media outlets had been rife with reports that Juanes would cancel his contract with his manager all day on Tuesday, but those were not confirmed until Tuesday night.
Martinez, in comments to reporters said, "what am I doing managing someone whose retired?
It's a natural thing."
Martinez also added that Juanes' reason for this decision is a personal one.
