Tourism Minister, Alejandro Fleming, said that the initiative aims to boost Venezuela as an international tourist destination in Colombia and display attractive recognized and established national and abroad, such as Margarita Island, Angel Falls, Los Roques and also Andean regions and Los Llanos.

He further stressed that Venezuela is looking to relaunch as an international destination in Colombia and display attractive recognized and established national and abroad, as the island of Margarita, Vena Karapakupñai Falls (Salto Angel), Los Roques and Andean regions Los Llanos.
"This platform we have established will allow us to promote other domestic destinations," he said.
Fleming said that the fair attended by more than 15 tour operators in the country, including Venezuelan Tourism Company (Venetur), and representatives of the airline Conviasa.
"It is important to highlight that. Every time that Venezuela will participate in an international fair is being organized around the tourism sector, which together build the sector, because the development of tourism means that there is a well organized sector.
There is no better combination than having a tour operator as Venezolana de Turismo, plus another set of these companies working hand in hand with Government to develop the sector, and with a national carrier to facilitate access of international tourists to Venezuela, and the mobilization of Venezuelans to their national tourist destinations, "said the official.
He also stressed the importance of joint work and compliance with the standards in tourism exist to strengthen the strategies to position Venezuela as well internationally continue to increase domestic tourism.
