Cerrejón, a coal-mining venture owned by BHP Billiton Ltd., Xstrata Plc and Anglo American Plc, said it named Roberto Junguito its Chief Executive Officer after Leon Teicher resigned in September.
Junguito has been president of Copa Airlines Colombia for the past six years, Cerrejón said in an e-mailed statement today.
The company had said earlier that Teicher, who has been Cerrejon’s CEO since May 2.006, is leaving for personal reasons and his resignation is effective December 31.
