Brothers & Sisters Being Adapted in Colombia

Disney Media Distribution Latin America and Vista Productions have agreed to produce a local version of Brothers & Sisters in Colombia.

The series will be based on the original American version created by Jon Robin Baitz for ABC.

Brothers & Sisters follows the life of the Walkers, a family from California formed by a passionate and strong mother and her five adult children.

The family faces challenges related to romance, parenthood, addiction and death.

“Without a doubt, the local versions of Brothers & Sisters will have great exposure in Latin America given that the story and essence of the content are a perfect fit for our audience,” said Fernando Barbosa, the senior VP of Disney Media Distribution & Production Latin America.

“I'm happy to make another television project with Disney in Colombia,” added Jaime Sánchez Cristo, the general manager at Vista Productions. “

In the last 12 years, we’ve had great successes together, the most recent being A corazón abierto, and I’m sure that Brothers & Sisters will captivate Colombian viewers in the debut of its local version."
