Brazil's Petrobras to invest U.S. 430 million in Colombia between 2.011 and 2.015

Between 2.011 and 2.015 Brazilian company Petrobras will invest 430 million dollars in Colombia, a total of 224,700 million listed in its global business program, said company president Jose Gabrielli, media reported on Friday.

Activities in Colombia will continue "business focusing on exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons", as it has done since 1.972, Gabrielli said in remarks published in the newspaper La Republica.

"The company will continue to emphasize the search for oil in Colombia, especially offshore exploration where it is estimated that there may be large stocks of gas," the executive said Thursday at a forum in Bogotá.

The highlight of the investments of Petrobras in the world are aimed at expanding the business of refining, he said, and noted that about plans to build five refineries with which it aims to process 1.4 million barrels.

Petrobras is responsible for 14 blocks in the country currently produces oil and about 40,000 bpd, according to the president of the company in Colombia, Mauro da Silva.

This is invested annually about 130 million dollars on average.
