Colombia decide on gay marriage Tuesday

On Tuesday July 26th is the deadline for Colombia's Constitutional Court decides the sentence or to ensure the rights of gay couples equal marriage to heterosexuals.
The lawsuit filed by the association LGBT citizens Colombia Diversa and requires end Article 113 of civil code that discriminates and explicitly states that marriage should be between a man and a woman "Marriage is a solemn contract by which a man and a woman come together to live together and procreate and mutual aid. "

Although, according to civil code reads the same, the judges would be incurring an illegality, as the text states explicitly that one of the functions required is to procreate and infertile couples are not entitled to access to this union.
Interestingly one of the strongest opponents of gay marriage, Attorney Alejandro Ordóñez, has stated on many occasions that "procreation is the primary purpose of marriage and that's why same-sex couples are not family."
The Catholic Church has also done work in relation to discrimination, marginalization and humiliation of diversity and Colombians, and has tried to pressure the judges (this is a crime here and in China) to oppose the extension of rights for all.
On the other hand, is not the first time the Colombian Constitutional Court is called upon to resolve this great discrimination last year, the same court to rule declared inhibited by pointing errors on the application form.
This time, the lawsuit has been filed to avoid those mistakes and has some real possibilities to be won in court.
The high court upheld the right of inheritance between same-sex couples recently.
Uruguay next country to approve gay marriage.
