Colombian Stock Movers : ETB, Ecopetrol, Bancolombia Were Active

The following companies had unusual price changes in Bogotá trading. 

Stock symbols are in parentheses, and prices are as of the close of trading.

The IGBC Index (IGBC) decreased 0.1 percent to 15,169.65, while the Colcap Index (COLCAP) fell 0.2 percent to 1,793.63.

Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Bogota SA (ETB CB), the phone company serving Colombia’s capital, fell 0.8 percent to 502 pesos. 

Shareholders approved ETB’s proposal to take on as much as $600 million in debt, according to a regulatory filing.

Bancolombia SA (BCOLO) , Colombia’s biggest lender, gained 1.4 percent to 30,360 pesos. Bancolombia will report an increase in first-quarter profit to 448.3 billion pesos ($253.6 million), according to the average estimate of four analysts in a Bloomberg survey. 

Bancolombia will report its results today after the market is closed, according to an e-mailed statement.

Oil producers dropped in line with crude as U.S. supplies rose to the highest level in almost 22 years. 

The price for crude oil for June delivery slipped for the sixth day, the longest downward run since July 2.010.

Ecopetrol SA (ECOPETL) , Colombia’s largest oil company, fell 0.5 percent to 5,620 pesos. 

Petrominerales Ltd. (PMG) , a Calgary-based oil company that operates in the Andean region, fell 0.4 percent to 24,280 pesos.
