Colombia Stocks : Coltejer, Fabricato Decline; Interbolsa Rises

The following companies are having unusual price changes in Bogota trading.

Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 11:07 a.m. New York time.

The IGBC Index rose 0.1 percent to 14,078.10, while the Colcap Index dropped 0.2 percent to 1,666.30.

Textiles fell as Colombia’s peso rose 0.2 percent to 1,801 per U.S. dollar, from 1,804.50 yesterday.

The currency has gained 0.9 percent this week, reducing revenue for exporters, said Felipe Sanchez, analyst at brokerage Serfinco SA.

Coltejer SA (COLTEJ) , the Medellin-based clothing maker and exporter, dropped 1.2 percent to 86 centavos.

Textiles Fabricato Tejicondor SA (FABRI) , Colombia’s biggest textile maker, fell 0.2 percent to 43.9 pesos.

Pacific Rubiales (PREC CB), the most weighted stock on Colombia’s exchange, rose 1.1 percent to 52,860 pesos.

The Toronto based oil company with fields in Colombia gained on oil’s rebound, as U.S. consumer sentiment improved and industrial output increased.

Interbolsa SA (INTBOL SA), which holds the greatest market share among Colombian brokerages, rose 0.5 percent to 2,785 pesos.

The Medellin-based broker is involved in managing a series of share issues including this week’s issues by Grupo Aval and Avianca Taca Holding SA.
